"No way - we wont play" say Nottingham management.

The Bulls have just played and won their eighth game , but sadly it is to be their last regular season game. Nottingham have refused to play both their remaining fixtures against the Bulls, and we are to finish the season with a 9-1 record despite being unbeaten.

Since before the season began we've been trying to arrange new dates to play Nottingham. Our first away game clashed with the Monarchs/Claymores game at Alexander Stadium, Birmingham, and we had promised the Monarchs to help out there (and promote the sport locally at the same time).

So, the Nottingham game had to be rearranged. Sounds easy enough? To any reasonable team it would be, but not Nottingham.

To date we have offered the Caesars no less than five alternate Sundays on which to play these games.  Our latest offer was to play the Caesars anytime, anyplace, anywhere they wanted with whatever team we could muster on the day, but this was too restricting for Nottingham, who won't agree to anything.

Because we haven't been able to reach agreement with the Caesars the league has stepped in and awarded the games one to each team. I hope the league realise that they are setting a dangerous precedent here, well just think of it, if you can win games by refusing to actually play them just think of the consequences.

Unfortunately this could have a knock on effect, the Bulls can't do better than a 9-1 record and that could possible mean an away trip to Brighton in the second round of the play-offs. There is also a possibility that Nottingham could make the play-offs by being  awarded one game they would have been hard pressed to win on the field.
