Welcome to
Jessie's New York Liberty Fan Site

(This site is dedicated to the "Vertically Challenged")

I'm the "Baby Balla" and you have just entered Jessie's New York Liberty Fan Page, the Unofficial Fan site of "Yours Truly"! and another way for me to show my friends how stupid I really am. They gave me my own website. Yeah me, the same person who thinks re-runs of "Different Strokes" are still funny.
Scary ain't it?
Well this site is really about Me (Well, it is my site. Get your own and you can talk about what every you want) and, of course, the New York Liberty. I may, from time to time, discuss other aspects of the WNBA, but mainly this site will be deticated to my team, the New York Liberty!
Hey! Why are you still reading this?
You should be checking out my web site right now! What's the hold up? Afraid you might like it?

Teresa Weatherspoon

As you might have guess by now, I'm a BIG fan of the New York Liberty of the WNBA. I love basketball! I play on my High School Basketball team and I do dream of being able to join the WNBA and play for the Liberty Team one day. *Sigh*
Pictured off to the left is my idol, #11 Teresa Weatherspoon, who plays the Guard position for the Liberty. I think Teresa Weatherspoon is one of the better player's in the WNBA. She is also a inspiration to all of us who are under 6 feet tall and wish to play professional Basketball (Men's or Women's). Check out some of her accomplishments: Three-time WNBA All-Star (1999, 2000, 2001), All-WNBA Second Team (1997, 1998, 1999, 2000), WNBA Defensive Player of the Year (1997, 1998), First on the all-time WNBA assist list. Led the league with 6.1 apg during the inaugural 1997 season

Latest News: The Liberty Ride The Storm 74 - 63!

The Liberty looked much more like the team that started the season 7-3 on Tuesday night, crushing the Seattle Storm in the second half for a convincing 74-63 romp in the Garden. July 2nd was like any game for the New York Liberty. Ok, maybe it was, but this time they were trying to climb there way out of a 5 game out of 6 losing streak, and as always they didn't let us down. That victory obtained against the Seattle Storm last Tuesday. Although the game ended close the first half the Liberty came back in the second and stomped out every attempt by Seattle's defense to keep New York's losing deficit alive. I don't know if this realization came before or after Crystal Robinson's back to back "3's" or Vicki Johnson's graceful backwards pass to Sue Wicks, or perhaps it was due to Tari Phillips' who scored 15 of her game-high 19 points to lead four New York players in double figures to help get the Liberty back on track, but I assure you it came at the sound of the buzzer. The final score was 74 - 63 in favor of the New York Liberty. And no matter how hard they had tried, the Storm, lead by Sue Bird, couldn't stop the Garden Warriors as they dominated the game. Sue Wicks
Sue Wicks hit her only shot and collected three rebounds Tuesday.

Anyway, check out my favorite links page or go on to my other web pages and see if you can actually understand what's going on in this hollow skull of mine.
