Usui Reiki
The entire Usui system is built around the traditional healing system that has been in use for thousands of years in China and surrounding countries. When a person becomes seriously out of balance with their energy, techniques like Qigong projection were used to attempt to cure them. The Usui system is really using the Qigong energy in a more direct way without depleating the energy levels of the giver.
The Reiki healer acts as a conduate, allowing the patient to draw the Reiki energy into themselves for the purpose of healing. Thus it is the patient who indirectly determines how the energy will be utilized and where it will ultimatley go in the healing session.
Reiki is a wholistic healing method, where the mind, body and spirit recieve unique energy vibrations that help to empower the recipient and align them with their highest spiritual purpose.
