It is a non-traditional system of self-defense based on traditional principles and movements from Aiki-ju-jutsu and Karate. Not just a combination of various techniques but a systematic integration, Seiken Budo sometimes looks like Wing Chun, sometimes like Silat, but 90% of its techniques find their source in traditional Japanese Budo.
Nearly every martial artist will see his/her own method reflected in Seiken Budo and will learn more about how their methods can be applied in unique ways. After fundamentals are taught, Shihan Annesi, a 38-year veteran of the martial arts, will instruct the specialty of the system, "minimal motion" technique.
