REEVES REPORT 10/04/05

The only thing we are sure of right now is that the NFC division strikes an amazingly similar look to the real NFC Norris division-Packers, Vike Queens, Da Bears and the Lions. What a bunch of pukes. Kalina leads the division at 2-2, but both of his wins were by 2 points, so could easily be 0-4. Todd’s only win came Vs. me in a tie-breaker , so he could be 0-4. Kaland looks pretty good and is scoring well, but we know his coaching ability history and Pete is living up to his pre season #8 rating. It ain’t pretty. In the good guy division, my team really sucks but has managed to be 2-2, and could have been 4-0 with better coaching…….but with ZERO td’s from my RB’s so far, I deserve to be 0-4. By my count Rich held off the previously undefeated Quinn, but John looks strong with the Bulger-Alexander (great pick!)-Moss triplets and will be a force all year. Dan got stuck with Holmes (!) to go along with Manning and will rack up points all year too. The leading candidate for coach of the year is Barb who made a TERRIFIC 1st round pick of McNabb, and now sees Burress as the best WR in the league---and she adroitly grabbed the other white meat Manning late in the draft for the future. Of course this is pretty foreign ground for her, so we will see how things develop over the year.

I am still bewildered by the Culpepper self destruction and that of the Vikes. Can it be that Roger actually got the best of that trade deal? We all know he got a huge win with the Larry Johnson for a future second round pick deal with Danny.

We start divisional play this week, which is only good for the NFC dudes after going a stellar 5-11 vs. the power division. Somebody call the scores into my sports desk please, because no one will be watching. I get Quinn and that usually means the death of me, but Mss is on bye, so that’s 2 TD’s he can’t count on. Still, I can’t score 55 points if I continue to get nothing from my RB’s-good thing TO is a freaking monster player. Dan has some bye issues this week, making Barb the favorite again---as she will be every game except for the one where LT is on bye-he is an enormous fantasy player-clearly the tops in the league. The new Georgia Frontiere (someone explain to Richie what I am talking about) has the 2005 version of Eric Dickerson leading the way!

Well the Packers are 0-4, but should win this weekend….or maybe not …a 1-9 start is not out of the realm of possibility-oh momma-turn on the suicide watch alert button.
