The South Coast Running Club stretches from Florence, in the middle of the Oregon coast, south to the Oregon border. Our membership spans up and down the west coast and has about 160 members. Races vary in distance from one mile family fun runs to our featured Roseburg to Coos Bay 67 mile Relay held in April, Circle the Bay 30 km held on the first Saturday in August each year as well as monthly fun runs up and down the coast. We have a wide diversity of terran in our runs, from steep hilly road runs to trail and beach runs along the majestic Pacific Ocean.

While most of our races are low key races with 20-200 runners, each year the SCRC helps host the Prefontaine Memorial 10K, run in honor of Coos Bay native Olympian Steve Prefontaine (1951-1975), which had over 1200 participants in 2001.
