2003 Team Picture

Hello LA Swimmers and Parents,
I would like to welcome all of you to our new web site. This news section is set up as our monthly newsletter. I would like to thank Steven Jian for getting the web site up and operating. It will become more organized for your advantage and hopefully will add entities that will make your competitive swimming career more successful, productive, and enjoyable. It was wonderful to have our new pool lights at Lynbrook turned on in late October. It gave the pool a brillance that we had never seen before at night. We are currently training at Kona Kai Swim & Racquet Club in Santa CLara. This is definitively a grass roots swimming experience for all swimmers to enjoy. I began my swimming career in the country club environment. We will be returning to Lynbrook High School pool Monday, February 3, 2003. Right now the swim practice training schedule will remain at the 5:00-7:00 P.M. time. If we have to push workout back to a later starting time, I will let you know. Cupertino High School's swim team will be sharing our pool due to the renovation of their pool. I will let you know of any adjustments. The Zone 1 South Swim Championships will be held at the George Haines International Swim Center. It was formerly named the Santa CLara International. It has been renamed for the legendary coach who started the Santa Clara Swim Club. I consider myself fortunate to be able to say that George was also my swim coach from 1965-1968 when I became a member of that team. Anyway, the Zone Champs are rapidly approaching and attending swim practice regularly and training conscientiously is an important factor in a swimmer having a productive and successful swim meet. I will choose the relay team members by fastest times and I will pay for the relay fees. I think that's good for now. I hope you access into this news section regularly. I hope it will be to you advantage. Keeping you posted,
Coach
