Celtic 1 Kilmarnock 1

Celtic escaped from Rugby Park lucky to get a draw. They were out played and worringly out fought. Questions now have to be asked about the players commitment especially Berkovic, Wright and Blinker. It also has to be asked if Barnes can motivate his team. Also why was Burchill not brought on? If Celtic are going to finish this season with any pride they must improve dramatically.

Mark Viduka put Celtic ahead during the first half with the aid of a deflection from Jim Lauchlan. A few minutes later Mark Reily equalised for Kilmarnock after the ball struck Riseth's head on the way to goal. Lubo Moravcik had a decent shot into the second half but aside from that no real attempts on goal.

Celtic 3 Fortuna 0

Celtic's final match in Portugal ended with a comfortable win. Ian Wright opened the scoring in nine minutes. Colin Healy then added a second just before half time. Brazilian International Rafael made his debut 15 minutes into the second half. Mark Viduka added a final goal before the end after a pass from Healy.


Celtic 2  Loule 2

Eyal Berkovic scored in the dying seconds of the match to give Celtic a draw. Loule had taken a two goal lead early in the first half. Bobby Petta pulled one back for Celtic before Berkovic struck. Celtichad three goals chopped off, a stonewall penalty denied and hit the bar twice.


Celtic 1 Rangers 1

Rangers rode their luck throughout with Celtic hitting the woodwork 3 times. First Viduka hit the post before putting Celtic 1 up following good work from Moravcik and Berkovic. Moravcik himself then smashed the cross bar a few minutes later and at that point it was sensed this wasn't going to be Celtic's day. This was proved right when Dodds equalised for Rangers.  A crucial moment in the match then followed with Moore injurying influential Celt Viduka. In the 2nd half Moravcik hit the bar with a header. Barnes put on Regi Blinker for the impressive Stilian Petrov and also with 5 minutes to go put Wright on for the ineffective Berkovic. The Celtic fans were surprised that youngster Mark Burchill was not given the chance as his pace would have caused the Rangers defence problems.

Paul Lambert. The captain was inspirational throughout showing great composure and never giving up. Who needs Roy Keane when you have Paul Lambert ?
