The following are players expected to have big years and become college prospects most of the Division 1 variety.

Glenn Worley 6'8 Iowa City West Sr.

Worley is without question the top player in the state.  He has been starting on the varsity for three years now.  He averages 22.3 points, 10.8 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game in the toughest conference in Iowa, the MVC.  He is ranked in the top ten for forwards in most recruiting  publications.  He is committed to Iowa and wants to play the point forward position there a position made famous by Scottie Pippen.
Strengths Worley is very coordinated and possesses a great deal of athletic talent for someone 6'8.  He is a good ball handler and can take people off the dribble.
Weaknesses Worley needs to add strength and add a consistent jumper to his game.

Dave Kraemer 6'2 Dubuque Hempstead Sr.
Kraemer is one of the more underrated player in the state.  This upcoming year will be Kraemers third year as a varsity starter.  He averaged 19PPG in the MVC.  Dave had a career high 40 against Cedar Rapids Wahsington and had 30 on Waterloo East.  He shot well above 50%.
Strengths Kraemer is great shooter, without a doubt the best shooter I saw last year.
Weaknesses Some concernes about his height to play 2 Guard at the D1 level but might be able to be a combo guard.

Claudell Mimms 6'4 Cedar Rapids Jefferson Sr.
If Kraemer is one of more underrated player in the state, Mimms is one of the most overrated.  He has spent his last 3 years on the varsity team.  Starting most of his freshmen year, sitting most of his sophmore, and playing inconsistently in his junior year.  Your guess is as good as mine as to how his senoir year will go.
Strengths Decent ball handler, good height for a PG, and has good hops.
Weaknesses Needs more time in the weight room, and is a below average shooter.

Sean Sonderleiter 6'9 Des Monies Christian Sr
.
Sean is somewhat of a project for Alford and the Hawkeyes, the team to whom he commited.  Sean averaged 16.5 points and 12 boards per contest in 1A last season.
Strengths Sonderleiter has a big body that leaves a lot of room for growth.
Weaknesses Not much of a scoring threat and needs to add muscle.

Jeff Horner 6'2 Mason City Soph.
Horner is the youngest recruit ever to commit to the Hawkeyes. Horner averaged 19 points, 7 assists, and 5.5 rebounds per game as a freshmen.  He broke Dean Oliver's single game assist record with 15 assists in one game.
Strengths Jeff has a great amount of talent and a lot of time to improve on it.  At only 15 years old, Horner might grow several more inches before he begins his career at Iowa.
Weaknesses Jeff has to keep working.  He needs to try to develop all facets of his game while in high school so he can be a good college player.

David Rottingaus 6'5 Charles City Sr.
Rottinghous put up very good numbers last year, he averaged 29 PPG, 8 RPG, and 2 assists. He scored 46 points against Decorah.  He also was his conference’s MVP last season.  Iowa has shown some interest.
Strengths David has a good first step for a player of his height.  He also has solid post moves.
Weaknesses Will need to work on his moves with the ball and his ability to create for the college game.

Brett Watson 6'5 Elk Horn-Kimballton Sr.
Watson had an incredible junior year statistically.  Brett averaged 34 PPG, and 8 RPG. Great numbers but it did come in division 1A where most of the players would be playing JV at best on a 4A squad. Watson's career high is 53. He carries a 4.0 GPA and has drawn a lot of attention from Ivy league schools.
Strengths Watson is considered one of the best shooters in the state  and has some good moves to the hole.
Weaknesses Not quick enough to play big time college basketball at the 2 spot.  But he three is a possiblity.

Rob Kampman 6'8 Forest City Jr.
Maybe Mr. Iowa after Worley gets it this year.  Great future ahead of his. Average about 18 points per game.  Iowa rumored as an early favorite.
Strengths Has a very good shot for a player his size and has decent post moves.
Weaknesses Needs to continue to develop physically to be considered a good power forward prospect.

Luke Jacobsen 6'3 West Des Moines Valley Sr.
Luke was named 2nd team all-state and was the best player on the 4A state runner-up.  He averaged about 20 PPG.
Strengths Good athlete, solid shooter, and knows how to score.
Weaknesses Needs to work on his game with the ball in his hands.

Adam Haluska 6'5 Carrol Soph.
Haluska is being recruited by D1 school allready.  Iowa, Iowa St. and Creighton are all in the running.  Averaged 17 points and 8 boards a game last year.
Strengths Good jumper, has a lot of time to devlope his game.
Weaknesses Needs to improve on his ball handing and shooting consistantly.

Ryan Gallaway 6'5 Sioux City West Jr.
Ryan is the Brother of Kyle Gallaway, who will be a sohpmore on the Iowa Hawkeyes this season.  Ryan wasn't a huge factor on his team last year, but his team did win the 4A championship.
Strengths Good shooter for his size.
Weaknesses Needs to become a scoring threat and a team leader this season.

Todd Klosterman 6'6  West Delaware Sr.

Klosterman has helped mold West Delaware into to a 3A power.  He averaged 21 points and 8 boards per game last year.  He was a 1st team all state performer and the WAMAC's league MVP.  He recently commited to Wayne State.
Strengths From what I hear Todd is a very hard worker.
Weaknesses At 6'6 he will not be able to play the 5 at Wayne State.
