Brownlow Medallists

Noel Teasdale

(1965 tied) Played 178 games and kicked 71 goals between 1956-67. A talented ruckman who in 1964 came close to death when he clashed heads with team-mate Ken Dean and spent time at St Vincent's Hospital. But he returned bigger and better than ever and tied with Ian Stewart in 1965 for the Brownlow.

Keith Greig

(1973-74) Played 300 games and kicked 48 goals between 1971-85. A classy and courageous wingman who thrilled crowds with his dashing runs along the wing. His first Brownlow was shrouded in controversy when Richmond officials failed to hide their anger that Kevin Bartlett had not won the Medal. But Greig proved it was no fluke by winning the award the following year. Greig played in the 1975 premiership, but missed the 1977 flag because of injury.

Malcolm Blight

(1978) Played 180 games and kicked 444 goals between 1974-82. A magnificent mark and prodigious goal kicker, Blight will go down as one of the greatest players to have pulled on a boot. Aside from winning the Brownlow in 1978, Blight will long be remembered for kicking a 70-metre goal after the siren to help North snatch victory from Carlton. He topped the AFL goal kicking in 1982 with 103 goals and played in the 1975 and 1977 flags.

Ross Glendinning

(1983) Played 190 games and kicked 215 goals between 1978-86. A dynamic player, whose biggest asset, was his strength and ability to take strong marks as well as being a long and accurate goal kicker. He could play at centre half-forward as well as centre half-back and will be remembered as an attacking defender. Won the Brownlow in 1983 and then in 1987 decided to return to Western Australia to play with West Coast.
