Middlebury Racquet Club Junior Programs

Last year over 450 potential future tennis stars signed up for the 2001-2002 season of Junior Development Programs at the Middlebury Racquet Club. Continuing on the success of last year, the Program will be run on the same rotating pro format.

The programs are designed to work with players at all levels from beginners to tournament players.

Currently classes are offered Monday through Friday after school, and on Saturday afternoons. Tournament player groups can be arranged for Sunday afternoons. The 11-week sessions allow students to participate in tennis while working around other school sports seasons.

New this year will be the ability to sign up for more than 11 weeks at a time. Players signing up and pre-paying for 2 sessions in a row will receive a 5% discount. Players signing up for 3 sessions in a row and pre-paying will receive a 10% discount.

Kindergarten and Pre-K classes will be forming this fall. Munchkin tennis is a FUN session that introduces young children to basic racquet skills. Morning and afternoon classes can be arranged to accomodate AM and PM kindergartners.

Session I will begin Saturday, September 14th, 2002.
Session II will begin Monday, December 2nd, 2002.
Session III will begin Monday, February __th, 2003 .
The Mini Session and Summer Programs will be posted when we have a better count on school snow days

From 4:00PM to 6:00PM on Saturdays the club will offer Junior Players of intermediate ability the opportunity to play tennis under the supervision of our Junior Development staff. New this year will be play in a ladder format to assure competitive play. The cost will be $12 per person and having fun will be emphasized. Sessions may be cancelled due to tounaments or special junior pizza parties.
