The definition of Underground/Backyard wrestling
1. The definition of UNDERGROUND WRESTLING is simply a Wrestling federation which is based in the back yard or in the house of local friends. There is 9 times out of 10 no rings involved. It is very fun and intresting to see how good somepeople really are. Give it a try you won't be disapointed.

1. There are many young, up and coming wrestlers in these federations who's talent is not being showcased infront of a large audience. This is where the UWA steps in. Here are some steps the UWA takes in order to ensure that the wrestler's talents are showcased as much as possible:
  
  Step 1 - The UWA will help the federations in which these wrestlers wrestle in publisize their web site by adding a link in the UWA federations page.
  
  Step 2 - The UWA has a newsletter in which it includes news about all the different underground wrestlers and promotions. This is VERY useful for advertising your federation.
  
  Step 3 - The UWA distribute you and your federation's videos. We will help to sell your videos to the public who does not know about you and your underground federation. You never know which hands these videos may fall into. I for one have many connections with a couple independent federations who are always looking for good talent. If I see that you are a good worker, give a 100% effort every match, and have talent I will NOT hesitate to send them a video of you and your federation.
2. There are many up and coming federations who have great potential for making it big some day. Take ECW for instance. They started off renting out a bingo hall in Philadelphia. Now after giving the fans great action and a great product they are considered to be in the same class as the other "BIG 2", the WWF and WCW. Here is another exsample. The BYWF (Backyard Wrestling Federation). This federation, unlike ECW, started off in a person's backyard just like where your federation might do their shows. After giving all they have and putting tons of effort into their matches, people started coming to their shows. Soon they were starting to make money and started wrestling on the campus of Penn State University in Pennsylvania. Soon after that they started aquiring bigger names and even MORE people came to their shows. This is what your federation can be looking forward to as long as you guys try your best and give it your all!
3. The UWA is a total non-profit organization. We are not out to make a fortune. We are just out here to help you young talented wrestlers get the proper respect and attention you so rightfully deserve.
