Vernon.jpg (10261 bytes) My Love for Ice Hockey

Though I have never played the game on ice (have never even put on skates), I have developed a deep interest in the game, mainly at the professional level (though I have been to a handful of college games, including the Frozen Four in 1999).
I have been in -- and run -- many roto-style leagues and dozens of OT pools in my workplace.
I have been a season ticket holder for two different NHL teams (L.A. and Anaheim) and have taken trips just to see hockey games in well-known arenas (including the Forum in Montreal, the Aud in Buffalo, Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto and the Joe in Detroit).
I am a collector of things hockey. My collection includes game-worn/used equipment, food items tied to the sport and a couple of dozen video tapes (specific games and highlights), among other things.
I am, in particular, a fan of goalies. My favorite is Patrick Roy of the Colorado Avalanche. My following goes back to 1989, when he was with the Montreal Canadiens. My loyalty stayed with him, rather than the team, when the two had a "falling out" in December 1995.
My interest in goalies has led me to obtain more than two dozen Kenner Starting Lineups of them and more than 100 autographs of them (you see two examples on this page).
I selected my eBay username with hockey in mind (IceCzar).
It is the best sport out there and those summer months, while not short enough for the professional players, can't end soon enough. The winter may be cold outside (though not really where I live), but it always warms me up, because it means . . . hockey.
