Flag Baton

In flag baton twirling, a performer twirls and swings a baton shaft with flag attached. One-baton score sheet is used, with logical interpretation.

0.1 penalty each time flag tangles on shaft. Twirling while flag is intentionally wrapped around the shaft does not constitute flag twirling. 0.1 each time flag shaft strikes floor. No penalty for flag sweeping floor. 0.1 each time contestant catches flag material in middle of shaft or grabs a full hand of flag material. Releases from flag ends are permitted. No score for grossly undersize flag. Double flag not permitted.
