Welcome to the Lutheran High School
South (LHSS) 1997 Softball homepage. LHSS is a Christian based
high school located in St. Louis Missouri. We play in the Missouri
Woman's Athletic Association (MWAA) League and compete in the
3A class at the State Level.
The 1996 team went undefeated in
league play (7-0) to capture the League Championship, even beating
Cor Jesu, the eventual Class 4A State 2nd Place team. To top that off, the 1996 LHSS team finished 3rd in State with a loss to Fatima (1-0), the eventual State Champions, in the state semi-finals. And then rebounded from the loss to beat Eureka for the 3rd place title.
The 1997 team looks to be every
bit as strong this season, returning a large number of players
and starters from the 1996 team. With a strong returning Senior
element, all of last years pitching, and some nice looking Freshman,
LHSS should be able to contend.
