1954
The Baltimore Orioles
first season started in 1954. First baseman Eddie Waitkus
would lead the league with 78 errorless games. Dick
Kryhoski would would go 19 consecutive game hitting
streak. And Clint Courtney who would be the only American
Leaguers to hit 5 hits in a game. But in the end the
Orioles would end up with 54 wins and 100 losses.
1955
This season a new
manager, Paul Richards, arrived. Paul was formally
the Chicago White Soxs manager. Paul came with a new
attitude for the team he was determined to win first
and the other teams to tie for last. He drafted
players and moved them to different places in the
feild. Unfortunaly the team finished last once again
with a record of 57-97.
