Move Off but Everton Beckons
STAR
forward Sutee Suksomkit's (left, in blue) move to K-League club Busan I.cons
fell through after the Korean side decided not to sign the Thai international.
Former English Premier League player Chris Marsden has also left the club.
However, Sutee will get another shot at a big move when he goes for trial
with Premiership club Everton FC. As part of a sponsorship deal between
the Merseyside club and Thai beer-maker Chang, two Thai players have been
earmarked for trials at Goodison Park. It is not known when Sutee, who
has returned to club action after an impressive Asian Cup campaign, will
depart for England.
Chang is the third South-East Asian company to be involved in the EPL.
Malaysian car-maker Proton has a shirt sponsorship deal with newly-promoted
Norwich City while local brand Tiger Beer is champions Arsenal FC's official
beer.
