The Development Of Soft Tennis In UKM

The Soft Tennis Captain Of Malaysia, Mr. Hussin Bin Ali plays an important role in promoting and
developing soft tennis in the campus. Many students in the campus have chosen soft tennis as one of
the court games for their co-curriculum activities. At least one tennis court is reserved for the students' daily practices.

A soft tennis coaching and umpiring course was organised by the Unit Sports, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia on 2nd and 3rd, May, 1996. Many staff and students together with soft tennis enthusiasts from the Selangor State attended the two-day courses. Mr. Ngo Ah Lek and the National Soft Tennis Squad conducted the course and demonstrated the game. The Honoray Secretary of Olympic Council Of Malaysia ( OCM ), Mr. Sieh Kok Chi officiated the Grand Opening and Tan Sri Dato' Khir Johari, the President Of Soft Tennis Association Of Malaysia ( STAM ), presented the certificates to the participants during the Closing Ceremony.
