Welcome to Ozzie's Homepage!

Welcome to Ozzie's homepage on the World Wide Web! Ozzie is a Maltese puppy who lives in Oxford, MS. He is very loving and affectionate and LOVES to give people puppy kisses. We received him on December 30th, 2002 when he was just under 15 weeks of age. He was very timid and shy the first few days we had him, but we believe this was because he had not been handled much as a baby. He soon came out of his shell and has since grown into the great Ozzie that we know and love.

The circumstances under which we received Ozzie were not the greatest. Rebecca (Ozzie's owner and my fiancee) had received a Maltese puppy as an early Christmas puppy. This puppy was purchased from what can best be described as a puppy mill (this was before we knew about puppy mills and their evils!). This beautiful puppy's name was Lexie, and we loved her dearly. We received this puppy at only six weeks old (way too early we would soon learn!). She deteriorated slowly and after a few trips to the vet in which nothing was found wrong with her other than maybe being a diabetic, she passed away on December 24th, 2002.

After contacting the "breeder" and telling her of the situation, she agreed to give us another puppy. Usually, I would say it was just bad luck and for us to eat our losses...however, since this puppy was given to us way too early (without our knowledge....even though we should have researched more before getting our first maltese), and the fact these puppies are EXPENSIVE, we agreed to accept the new puppy. One good thing about this new puppy (that would later be named Ozzie), was that it came from another breeder that this puppy mill had bought out.

Ozzie entered our lives on December 30th, 2002 and we have been in heaven ever since. He is a Godsend. After a rough day, you can always go home and guarantee that once that door opens and Ozzie sees you, he will be HAPPY to see you. Even though the Lexie situation was rough, we thank God for bringing Ozzie into our lives. We truly believe He gave us Lexie for that short period because He wanted to show her what true love was before she died. We also believe He gave us Ozzie to get him out of that cage and give him a good home and people that love and care for him. We will forever be grateful for the gift we have received in Ozzie.
