NOLTA Fall Leagues

By Walter Crook

NOLTA will have leagues for all ages this fall. Effort is being exerted this fall to establish a strong junior league. Teresa Comfort will act as cordinator of the junior league and urges you to contact her at 862-7575 to discuss entries of either teams or individuals. A team match will be two singles and one doubles and pro sets will be played (first to eight games with a two game advantage and play a tie-breaker, if the match reaches eight all). The schedule of play will be in a round robin format with "home and away matches". Teresa recommends a minimum of four players on each team. She will combine individual entries to form teams of girls or boys. Each player must pay a league fee of $10 and applicable court fees. Each team must have an adult team captain. Teresa has requested that entries be completed by August 26 to provide adequate time to have a meeting of the team captains before league play starts on Saturday, September l 2. It is planned to have the matches at 2 PM on Saturday for the girls and at 4 PM on Saturday for the boys. League play will continue for seven consecutive Saturdays ending on October 24. Play-offs will be on November 14.

Adult leagues are planned that will continue the excellent level of activity that has been maintained in the past. Sunday Women's League - Starts Sunday, September 13 at 3 PM
