Many of Sergei and Katia's fans are saddened around
this time of year when they remember the anniversary
of Sergei's death on November 20, 1995,
myself I try to remember to do what Katia asked of
the audience at "Sergei Grinkov: Celebration of a life"
and tell my family and friends just one extra time that I
love them because you never know which "I love you"
will be the last one.
Below are pictures of the way that I remember Sergei.
I remember him more as a father and as a husband
and that is how these pictures portray him. Copyrights
for the photos are given where they are known.

Thank you for visiting this small tribute to one of the
greatest men the sport of figure skating and indeed
the world has ever known. Sergei was many things
to many people. He was a son, a brother, a devoted
husband and loving father, a co-worker, a friend, an
idol and inspiration. I for one will never not be in awe
when I see tapes of him and Katia on the ice together.
We as fans of G & G felt as if we may have lost more
than other skating fans realized that Wednesday in
Lake Placid, New York. To me it feels like theirs was
a fairytale gone tragically wrong, but at least in the time
they had together they were able to express their love for
one another in a way that no one can ignore or deny. Theirs
is a love made in heaven and I know that whenever Katia
takes to the ice now as a singles skater Sergei is smiling down
at her with that wide and ready smile or maybe even that
mischievous grin of his. He was only on this earth a
short time but he has left us many precious memories
I don't think any of us will ever forget watching the
clips of him "flying" Dasha around the ice or the way he
lovingly handled Katia while they were on the ice together
he was so powerful and gentle and I for one think we will
never see a pair like G & G again.
I will remember you...
