The San Diego Women's Soccer League is a league for women over 40 years of age. The Mavericks team is currently seeking players. Please contact the team rep for information. Feel free to come to any of the games to see if you would be interested in joining our league. The league is always looking for new players and new teams. During the fall and winter seasons the league plays on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Both fields used during the fall and winter are east of Hwy 15. Take Scripps Poway Parkway and the Spring Canyon Park will be on the right side just after the shopping center. The parking lot is often crowded but eases after the youth soccer players have all left. Continue on Scripps Poway Parkway for the Scripps Ranch Community Park fields. Turn right at Cypress Canyon Rd. Then make another right onto Blue Cypress Drive. The Community center fields are on the right hand side. There is usually plenty of parking there.
During the summer the league plays on Saturdays and uses the Community Park and Cypress Canyon Park. The Cypress Canyon Park is only used during the summer and is located on Cypress Canyon Park Drive. From the north, take Scripps Poway Parkway exit off Hwy 15. Go east until you get to Spring Canyon (traffic signal) and turn right. Continue up the hill and stay on Spring Canyon about 3 miles until you reach the intersection of Pomerado Rd-on right side and Cypress Canyon Park drive on the left side(traffic signal). Turn left because this is Canyon Cypress Drive and go two blocks and the park is on your left. There is a street on the left which goes up to a parking lot for the park. For those coming north on Hwy 15, take the Pomerado exit and go east. Stay on Pomerado until you come to the traffic signal at Spring Canyon. Go through intersection/ signal and the road now becomes Cypress Canyon Drive. The park is two blocks past the signal light and is on the left up on the hill. Home team for the first game picks up the nets and flags at Jany's house. Home team for the second game returns the nets and flags. The goals do not need to be taken down during the summer. (only for Cypress Canyon Park) Nets and flags go in the storage room at the Community Park field.

For players wishing to get extra practice and coaching, the Scripps Ranch Women's Athletic Club has soccer scrimmages on Wednesday nights at Scripps Ranch Community Park.
The Prime of Life Women's soccer league plays on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights during the summer. The games start at 6:15 PM at Doyle Elementary School in La Jolla. This league is for women over 45 years of age. 
The Peninsula Women's Soccer league is an open league but has 2 (A and B) divisions for over 30.
