In the 28 years that I have been training in Karate and Kobudo, I have become concerned with the injuries that occur to Women and children in competition.
It has become increasingly obvious over the last few years that the protective equipment on the market is not up to what it should be This prompted me, along with a student -Sports Equipment Specialist Rick Gordon, to spend the last three years developing and testing a new era of equipment...its not on the market..yet but it soon will be. Its light, comfortable, doesn't bind, can be worn by either sex, and it never interferes with your competitiveness. Here are a couple of examples of the Karatech protector. Work and research is still being conduted on the safety equipment. There are several new types that have been releaed around the world however the expense of some of these is far beyond the amateur competitors price point.
