Oak Keg with "Co. E, 53d Pa. Inf." in old paint around the center of barrel.  The keg also has faint U.S. acceptance marking stamped into top & bottom that read "U.S." & "St. Louis."  Other marlings are present on the keg, but are not clear.  Keg is approximately 9 1/4 inches high by 6 1/2 inches across.  The spout on the keg is original.
