My Opinion
I think the Jay's need Jose Cansaco back out in the feild. I am happy with the pitching. But they need another good hitter to help them. Not just a home run hitter but a RBI hitter would help. I would like to see Jose Cansaco , Jose Cruz Jr. and Tony Fernandez back next year.
Next year, I think the Jays must ensure that Roger is happy to be a Blue Jay. I think they are in need of a couple of players to put them over the hump. A good fielding, 300+ hitter in the outfield would be one area to work on. I think that they need more run-production from Gonzalez and an everyday, consistent hitter at third. Evans may fill the bill but he still has to prove himself. I would like to see the Jays resign Fernandez next year and possibly Jose. Hentgen will have to improve his stats next year for the Jays to be serious contenders. However, we do have some good young arms coming up. I am not sure whether Jose Cruz can hit for average in the outfield so I would include him as possible trade bait along with Woody Williams and Santiago. I like Williams but with his age and the number of good young arms the Jays have, he could be used to acquire some additional talent in the outfield.
