The kitchen was remodeled in great mid-century style.
Custom-made cabinets designed like the original with bookface veneer on the original frames and in the original sizes.
The top cabinets were built into the wall about 8 inches and that design aspect was retained. That really opens up the countertop! The black bands between the cabinets is recessed. This is easily done because of the post and beam construction. Base cabinets are floating off the floor. The 3 wooden chairs are original to the house, reportedly designed by Luck himself. The glass Italian hanging lights are vintage and from the dining room of our Flossmoor house.
