AU Men Drop 2-1 Decision to RIT
ALFRED, NY - The Alfred University men's soccer team allowed two goals in the second half to drop a 2-1 decision
to RIT on Sunday afternoon.
Things started out well for AU (4-5-1) when they got on the board with an early first half goal when senior Rob
Hausrath (Williamsville/Sweet Home) fed sophomore Jon Bridges (Topeka, KS/Topeka) for the go-ahead goal
at 34:44.
AU maintained the lead into the second half, but allowed goals to Jeff Prescott (Avon, OH) and Eric Truscott
(Medway, MA/Medway) less than 10 minutes apart early in the second half. Both goals were assisted by senior
Rob Galinski (Brockport/Brockport) who moved to 13th on the all-time scoring with the two assists.
Freshman keeper Kevin Ball (Wheeling, WV/Linsly School) made his first collegiate start, making seven saves
for the Saxons. RIT (2-6-0) started Kevin Meredith (Oneonta, NY), who made four saves for the Tigers.
AU will return to action on October 8 when they host Endicott College at 8 p.m.
