The Cubans are Coming!

Rusty Greer figures to be among the first few players chosen in this years FA draft.

In the tradition of Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez, a new brand of players have escaped the island regime of Cuba and landed in the US. Whats the first thing they want to do? Find an American baseball team to play for!

Learn these names: they may be big soon. Leading off the list is the "Lil Duque", RF Russel Hernandez. Speedy shortstop Josue Esprada and fireballer Juan Pena also figure to be high picks, but all of the Cubans are expected to be taken in the 1st round of the upcoming draft.

Among the non-immigrants, a few names are noteworthy. The most noteworthy is LF Rusty Greer, a solid sparkplug for any team and a Dodger alumni. Another player that could warrant a high round pick if CF Marquis Grissom, who hit over .300 last season, with 50+ stolen bases. Journeyman pitcher Mike Morgan could illicit some attention as well.

The draft is this Sunday, June 13th, at 2pm EST.
