WHAT IS KARATE FOR CHRIST?

training to participants in a Christian atmosphere.

REQUIREMENTS

>  All students must attend a Bible believing Church.  We currently have
members who attend seven different denominations.

> Everyone must bring a Bible to class.  If you cannot afford a Bible, KFC will
give you one, free of charge.

> Everyone must purchase a mouthpiece.  Available at Wal-Mart for
approximately $2.00 (not required for the first month of attendance).

> Children must know their left from their right and be able to count to ten.
Adults and children attend the same class.  (typical earliest age is 5, a parent
must attend with children under 7).
TYPICAL CLASS

>
Each class starts with a devotion from the Bible and prayer requests.  All our
devotions center around the fact that Jesus is the one true Son of the Living
God, and that He died to save us from our sins.

> All students line up, by rank, and the bowing in ceremony starts the class.

> We start with warm up exercises (Junbi-Undo) with all students participating at
    their level of physical capability.

> Karate techniques, including striking, kicking and grappling, are taught at
    several skill levels.

> Kata (Combinations of offensive and defensive techniques) are taught at
    several skill levels.

> Free-Sparing is taught, but no full contact is allowed.

> We finish with cooling down exercises.

> All students line up, by rank, and class ends with the bowing out ceremony
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

> There is no charge for Wado class instruction by Karate For Christ.

> There is a testing fee for each belt rank.  The first Kyu rank test costs $20

>The Churches who sponsor and participate in the Karate For Christ ministry
have been most generous in regards to the use of their facilities.  The ministry
of the Church always comes first and sometimes will circumvent a scheduled
class without previous notice.  We expect all students to support the ministry
of each Church involved and, to graciously accept circumstances that might
  affect each class.
Mrs. Kathy Kruisenga (6th Dan) is the Karate for Christ Head Instructor with all classes and instructors reporting directly to her.  (All Karate for Christ Instructors are members of the
