Michael Heinzen

Michael Heinzen has coached with the Houston Junior Aeros for the last four years, both as an assistant and as a head coach. Originally from Duluth, Minnesota, Michael played four years of high school hockey at Duluth Central. Other hockey experience includes one year with the St. Cloud Jr. Blues of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League, four years at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, and one year with the Green Bay Bobcats of the Midwest Hockey League.

Michael has worked in education for the past sixteen years, including ten years as a junior high school coach. Currently, he is an Assistant Principal in the Pasadena Independent School District.

Barry Hanke

Barry Hanke has coached for 13 years and instructed hockey for 8 years. Moving from Regina, Saskatchewan two years ago, he has coached the Houston Junior Aeros Pee Wee and Bantam A travel teams. He has coached high school hockey for four years, city hockey for three years, and competitive hockey for four years. During those four years of competitive hockey, he has coached teams to two city championships and one league championship. He has also coached a team to a Provincial Tournament, placing third in the Province of Saskatchewan.

Barry has been teaching high school for 19 years, and brings that experience onto the ice. He is USA Hockey certified to coach at the Intermediate Level, as well as being certified by Canadian Hockey as a Level 2 coach. Barry looks forward to working with Mike and having a very successful year.
