Vista we pride ourselves on the way we play DEFENSE. DEFENSE
WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!
It is not just an attitude, but a way of life. This code was established
by our Defensive Coordinator, Coach Chris Hauser (though Nebraska must be given credit for the name). Come to any of
our practices and you will see 11 men dressed in a black practice jersey
with nothing more than what you see on the title above. These are
the BLACKSHIRTS,
or the starting defensive unit. To the casual observer, at
first glance it may be nothing more than an offense/defense viewing advantage,
but after witnessing the play of the chosen 11 and the pride, poise, tenacity
and destructive nature of this group, you will have a full understanding
of the nature of these PANTHERS.
