A Message from the PRESIDENT

Belated congratulations guys on your back to back CIF Championships.  The team and coaching staff did an outstanding job of bringing home to Vista High School, memories that will not be forgotten.  The school administration, headed by our Principal, Dr. Robert Graeff, along with Pat Moramarco, our athletic Director, give the football program so much support, that we are winners no matter.  Granted, Panther Fans left the stadium is a sense of "numb", but we played a great game against a great team.  And the guys got another ring on their finger.  Congratulations.  We are so proud of you!

The freshman, JV, and Varsity banquets were once again the grand finale to the season.  Thank you's and details are in the newsletter.  I have to repeat myself in regards to the Senior Memory Book.  Zuchel Contreras and Connie Williams did a glorius job of putting together memories that our seniors will cherish for a lifetime.  Coach Silberman proudly shows off our Senior Memory Book at all of his speaking engagements.  Everyone is always so impressed!  Zuchel and Connie, I don not know how you do it, but every year you just get better.
Thank you!

I wish to give very special thanks to Frank Defalco, Vice President and Kathi Maxwell, Treasurer, for the 97 season.  Franks son, Mike will be graduating this year, but Franks support to the program will not end.  Frank will be lending a hand with our sponsorships and anything else I can talk him into.  Kathi Maxwell will continue to do the outstanding job of putting our monthly newsletter together and anything else i can talk her into.  With their support, encouragement and dedication, it made my job a lot easier. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Just because the season is over, don't go thinking that football is over!  The football program never stops, and neither does the support from the boosters.  We have already started approaching sponsors next year's program advertisements.  Flyers are available, so if you have some time, please help.  A little bit of help goes a long way.

PROGRAM ADVERTISEMENTS
Advertisements for the football program that is sold at all of our home games is vital in reaching our financial obligations.  You do not have to be in "business" in order to place an advertisement.  Our "One line Patron" is what most parents use to place a message to their son/daughter this is only $10.00  Since most of you work outside the home, take a flyer to work, and ask your employees /peers.  Ask your friends/neighbors.  We have the nicest program in North County and from what we've been told- it is the nicest anyone has seen at the HS level.  We are proud of what we have been able to accomplish, but we want to accomplish more.  If you have any questions please call a committee chairperson listed in this newsletter. or Email gjensen@access1.net

We need your help/labor:
We are looking for roofers/laborers and donations of 1" plywood so we can redo the floor/roof of the stadium press box.  If you can donate any materials, give estimates, donate time, please call Mary Kay Stuckey at(760)630-2959.
