This tournament featured teams from Southern California and Arizona that have quarterbacks that are projected to be DIVISION ONE Players (click here to see Panther Recruiting Info). With only a week of practice to prepare, Vista had a good showing and the players and Coaches learned much about where the players are at and where improvement is needed in order to prepare for the season ahead. The 1-2 won loss record is not indicative of the learning that took place, the expericence gained and development that occurred within the group.
Strong performances were turned in by Brian Roberson, Roman Ybarra, Tim Warfield and Landon Irwin. Marcus Boards also had an outstanding effort a closely contested game vs. Alemany.
July 9-10 Vista Panthers
will be playing in the Covina Passing Tournament and the following week
at Huntington Beach Tournament at Edison High School. So come on
out and get a sneak preview of next years passing attack!
