Nov. 4, 2000 NYR 5 - MONTREAL 2 - Montreal, Quebec (Sports Network) - Mike Richter stopped 35 shots and Theo Fleury netted his 400th career goal, as the New York Rangers posted a 5-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens at the Molson Centre. The Rangers bounced back from a 6-5 loss at Ottawa on Thursday and won for the third time in their last four games, while the Canadiens lost their fifth straight. Fleury became the 60th NHL player to reach 400 goals.
Nov. 2, 2000 OTTAWA 6 - NYR 5 - Kanata, Ontario (Sports Network) - Magnus Arvedson's goal with 4:57 remaining gave the Ottawa Senators the lead and they held on for a 6-5 victory over the New York Rangers at the Corel Centre. The win gave Ottawa its best home start (4-0-2) in franchise history. The Rangers had their two-game winning streak snapped.
Nov. 1, 2000 NYR 6 - Tampa Bay 1 - New York, NY (Sports Network) - Theo Fleury's 15th career hat trick highlighted the New York Rangers' 6-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning at Madison Square Garden. Brian Leetch also added three assists in the rout for New York, which won for the second straight game. The Lightning fell for the fourth straight time. Mike Richter turned aside 31-of-32 shots for the Rangers, who have outscored their opponents 11-2 in their last two games. New York defeated Boston 5-1 on Sunday.
