Sideshows again highlight Post-JAM activity

Jersey burns! YONKERS, N.Y. (June 19, 2004) -- Ed McDowell, Rob Andrusco, Mike Campoli, Mike Fornabaio, and the white mouse in the green ball were the big winners in the annual post-JAM events Saturday. NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson was the big loser.

The heavily favored green-ball mouse won a three-rodent race to the outside of a circle on the infield, rolling his sphere across the line after outside interference seemed to rattle the black mouse.

MOUSE SHOCKER!
In a horrifying turn of events just days after the mouse race, on June 22, the white mouse from the clear sphere gave birth to a baby mouse, only to see the black mouse devour the newborn. Furious, Rob Andrusco released both mice into the wild.

This is the first recorded incident of murder and cannibalism in JAM history.

Meanwhile, the victorious white mouse in the green sphere has been retired to stud.

Fornabaio then won a 60-foot match race against first-time JAMmer Kelvin Cabrera, defying the betting trends to claim the title of second-slowest JAMmer.

Late Saturday, McDowell, Andrusco and Campoli won the first Team Beer Chug. Eschewing cans for cups, they bested two other teams handily.

Earlier late Saturday, Campoli burned a Johnson No. 19 New York Jets replica jersey in retaliation for a recent incident in Las Vegas, Nev. After New England Patriots fan Brad Sherman spat on the jersey and Cabrera ripped it down the front and stomped on it, Campoli tossed it on the barbecue grill (left). The jersey began spewing toxic fumes into the evening air, and what remained at the end was a congealed mix of charred fabric, scary plastic and incredibly intact white material.
