League Setup

  1. The league will be composed of 8 teams split into two four team divisions. 
  2. Divisions are based on draft order.  All teams with even picks will be in the Scratchy Division.  All teams with odd picks will be in the Itchy Division.  Here are the divisions:

a)     Scratchy – Kevin, Ernesto, Todd, Chris

b)     Itchy – Pete, Jason, Joe, Tim

  1. The league entry fee will be $20.  Payouts will be as follows:

a)     Champion – $80

b)     Runner Up -  $40

c)     Regular Season Division Champion - $20

  1. The regular season will begin with week 1 of the NFL season and last 14 weeks.  Each team will play the other seven teams in the league twice each.
  2. The playoffs will be held during weeks 15 and 16 of the NFL season.  The two teams with the best record in each division will qualify for the postseason.   First round match-ups will be Itchy #1 vs. Itchy #2 and Scratchy #1 vs. Scratchy #2.  The two first round winners will meet in the round 2 championship game.

 

Draft

  1. The draft will be held on August 6, 2005 at 3:00pm and will consist of 15 rounds.
  2. The draft order is:

1)     Pete

2)     Kevin

3)     Jason

4)     Ernesto

5)     Joe

6)     Todd

7)     Tim

8)     Chris 

  1. The draft order will be serpentine (1-8 in odd rounds, 8-1 in even rounds).

 

Rosters, Lineups, and Scoring

  1. Each team’s roster will consist of exactly 15 players.
  2. Starting lineup requirements are – 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1K, 1Def
  3. Players will receive points for the following statistics:

Defensive Team

·        1 pt per sack

·        2 pts per INT, fumble recovery, or blocked kick

·        4 pts per safety

·        6 pts per TD

·        10 pts – 0 points allowed

·        7 pts – 1-6 points allowed

·        4 pts – 7-13 points allowed

·        1 pt – 14-20 points allowed

·        -1 pt – 30-35 points allowed

·        -4 pts – 36+ points allowed

 

Waivers and Trades

  1. Any player that is currently not on a roster is considered a free agent.  Free agents may be added at any time.  In order to add a player, a player currently on the roster must be cut.
  2. Teams are free to trade with each other at any time, and trading is encouraged.
  3. The trade deadline is the Friday before Week 13 of the regular season.  After this day, no trades will be allowed.
  4. Once a team’s season has ended, that team’s roster will be frozen (meaning no players may be added or dropped from the roster).

 

Tiebreakers

  1. Regular season tiebreakers
    1. Head to head record
    2. Total points scored
  2. Playoff Tiebreaker
    1. Team with most touchdowns wins
    2. Team with more bench points wins

 

Catchall Clause

The league will be managed online at yahoo.com.  This site will track official scores and standings.  If an issue were to arise which the above rules are not detailed enough to handle, then the site will be the final arbiter on the matter.
