Congratulations to all the success the single-wing teams had this year including a youth State Championship (and National Finalist) by the Coventry Rams in Rhodes Island.  Also, the state of Virginia saw its share of single-wing success.  Park View High School returned to the state high school championship,  while Centreville shocked Deep Creek 28-26 to win the State Title.  In fact, single-wing teams have combined to win 75% of their games over the last two seasons.

There is no doubt that the single-wing is creeping back into mainstream football.  I'm sure single-wing coaches noticed the direct snap used by Baltimore Raven's coach Brian Billick in the Super Bowl.  And Clemson is just one spinning fullback away from being a true single-wing team.  It's an exciting time for single-wing enthusiasts!  Keep an eye open for information regarding the 2001 Single-wing Symposium.
