A clever ball player, Harold had a gliding action and useful bodyswere, spending ten years at St.Andrews and helping Blues win the League (South) title in 1946, the Second Division title in 1948, and the FA Cup Semi-Finals in 1946. Bodle later went on to manage Accrington Stanley and was in charge when Stanley fell out of the league in 1962.
