Captain Simmeon built this house in 1762 for his new bride, Sarah.
Tragically, he was lost at sea in February of 1812 in one of the worst
nor'easters this country has ever seen.  The house is open to the public
and some say they can see Sarah pacing in front of the windows waiting
for her husband to return.

A statue honoring Captain Samuel Simmeon was erected in 1895 and
has since been surrounded by beautiful flower gardens.

The pride and joy of Nubble Light Park for the last eighty years, is
the Coastal Cutter, built in 1921. It takes you wisking past the rocks
jutting up from the crashing surf and through old pine tree stands that
have been growing nearly as long as the coaster has been in existence.
