Our Awards for 1998-99.
These are awards that we created for the players.  We are in no way affiliated with the AHL, the River Rats or anybody of any importance, so do not take any of these seriously.  When viewing these, view with a sense of humor.  Also this list contains some personal jokes, we just had to put them down.  Some, we may explain on our Award explanation page, others will remain personal.  There are some that to understand, you need to read the players bio-page.  You can get to the bio-pages by going to our main index page. We made this list with the intention of making a funny awards page.  Please do not get offended by it.  If you can not take a joke, you may want to exit this page immediately, because we do not want anyone angry at us, and we don't want hate mail.  Thank you and view with pleasure.

Best Defensemen Award:  Ken Sutton, hands down.
Best Offensemen Award:  Tie; John Madden and Jeff Williams, even they argue about it.
Best Fighter Award:  Colin White
All-time Best Fighter Award:  Krzysztof Oliwa
Cutest Player Award;  Tie; Jiri Bicek and Sergei Vyshedkevich (they both remind us of a little brother type).
GQ Award:  Geordie Kinnear
Poster Boy Award:  Rocky Rochefort
Corn Flake Award:  Fredric Henry
Best Tattoo Award:  Josh Dewolf  (it's the only one we've seen).
Funniest Player Award:  Sasha Goc
Best Sense of Humor:  Matt Ruchty
Best Fake Accent Award:  Mike Buzak
Shyest Player Award:  Willie Mitchell
Nicest Player Award:  John Madden

Best Dad Award:  David Cunniff
Most Under-rated Player Award:  Rob Pattison (We'll miss him).
