WARNING: I now have a new area dedicated to those embarrasing photographs which always seem to arise from Varsity weekends. Noel Murphy wearing womens makeup is definitely worth a look! Click to go to the Gallery.

Intervarsities 2000

Well, what a weekend that was! - a success might I say? NUI Maynooth hosted the first Intervarsities of the year 2000 in Dublin (for a change). What influenced our decision for this this particular venue was the availability of a large, well equipped pool, within walking distance of nightclubs, pubs, and with a huge choice of accomodation nearby. Friday night was spent drinking (free beer at that) in Frasers, on O'Connell St. The matches kicked of early on Saturday morning (too early), and as a result, left us with more drinkin' time in the evening. UCD walked away (swam away rather) with loads of prizes, as did Queens (men), who played a superb final match. I don't remember the final score but it was along the lines of 67 - 2! Saturday night was spent in 'The Ormond', and despite a few hitches, was a great night. For photographs visit my gallery. Drop me a line if anyone has any comments to make about the weekend - or even better, sign my guestbook!
The 'Royal College of Surgeons' hosted the Freshers intervarsities in Wexford town. A great weekend was had by all, and some exciting matches took place (NUI Maynooth v's Queens - was thought to have been the match of the tournament!). And thanks to some 'transvestite' player, (with a great pair of knockers), Surgeons managed to get a womens team together. Some photographs of the event can be seen in my photo gallery which will embarrass and offend (hopefully), so take a look!
