MY MARK MARTIN PAGE...
FOR ONE OF THE TRUE GREAT DRIVERS AND PERSONS IN RACING=
Mark Martin!

Why do I like Mark Martin?  There are many reasons...Mark Martin is one of the finest drivers to ever don a helmet and jump in a car....He is the all time winner in the Busch Grand National Series, having broken the record of 32 victories.  He is an IROC champion many times over, and has dominated in ASA, SCCA, and other racing organizations.  He is a dominant driver on the Winston Cup scene, having finished in the top 6 each of the past 7 years or better....Mark Martin is one of the hardest working drivers in the circuit, he works out early in the morning, having developed from a skinny young boy into a fitness guru...Mark is also one of the nicest people you could ever meet, and is very gracious, I should know, I have met him once and he was great!  Mark is also gracious through the mail with his fans, answering all reasonable autograph requests.  He is also a driven man, driven to win in memory of his father, the late Julian Martin. Mark now runs Julian's shipping company, JMar, and it is part of his new for 1999 endeavor of Mark Martin Enterprises...he represents all that is right in racing, overcoming early difficulty, dealing with injury and problems without whining about it, unlike some California born Indiana-pretend boys act.  He is a devout Christian, and supports many great charities, but he does not try to overwhelm us with his faith and is a quiet man....He is simply the best!

MARK'S RIDES OF YESTERDAY AND TODAY

2000 RACE REPORT, RACING WITH MARK

2/20/2000 DAYTONA 500- Mark Started in the top ten, quickly establishing himself as a contender...however, soon he had a tire equalize and was forced to lose a lap in the pits...Not to be denied, Mark clawed his way back to take the lead, winning the Gatorade bonus money, and dominating the second half of the race...However, Dale Jarrett, who earlier told Mark he would follow him, left the #6 out to dry, and Mark's own teammate Jeff Burton followed....Both gave half-hearted and syrupy apologies after the race, but I am not buying it....Mark had that race, he had the car, he had the fans, he had it all, and he was screwed by two people he thought were his friends, one a person who he helped get a job when few wanted to take a chance on him (Burton) and another whom he gave support to when his owner thought about replacing him (Jarrett).  Martin finished in 5th or 6th, as I was too pissed off to see the final standings...what I want to know, is where the hell was Jack Roush to tell Burton to follow his teammate and not leave him hanging?  answer:  he was up Burton's ass, where he has been since last year....I hope Martin returns the favor to Jarrett and to Burton, and hope Burton spends more time in the wall than in victory lane....Mark will be celebrating with the Cup, and Jeffy Burton will be left out to dry....GO MARK, AND SCREW YOU JARRETT AND JEFF (I THINK I WORK FOR YATESANDHENDRICK) BURTON!!!!!!

Mark Martin had another victory stolen from him in Las Vegas, when the Rain Man, Jeff Burton, won a Winston No Bull million by getting lucky .....again.....Boy, I wish Mark hadnt given him a chance when he needed one, cause he sure is screwing Mark over this year.....Well, I guess I was the only one who didnt know that this is Mark's farewell to the Busch Series this year...I guess all the bitching and whining by the also-rans finally got to him, and I suppose he wants to focus on winning a Winston Cup in his career...Still, it will be weird to not see the Winn-Dixie car during Busch events.....However, it looks like Mark is going out in style, having almost lapped the field in his latest Busch win......Mark remains in the top 3 in Winston Points, and I really think this is OUR YEAR, MARTIN LOVERS....LETS CHEER HIM ON TO VICTORY!!!3/11/2000

MARTIN WINS, AT MARTINSVILLE, NO LESS!!!!!
Mark gained some luck at Martinsville, winning the race due to fortuitous circumstances, but who cares, he finally won in the 2000 season, and luck is key to winning a championship....He led the last few laps after a caution and other drivers not getting out of the pits in time....Mark is solidly in 2nd place behind Bobby Labonte, and is only a few points behind him....The guys go to Talladega this weekend, and let's hope Martin can pull some power out of the restrictor plates and make it two in a row, and continue the run to the points title!!!!!!  LETS GO MARK....6 FOREVER, 99 NEVER!!!!  4/12/2000
