FBSFC WIN!!, FBSFC WIN!!, FBSFC WIN!!
Yes! the 20 game winless streak is over as FBSFC defeated The Oul Triangle Pub 4-2 on Sunday. It was FBSFC's first try at full squad outdoor soccer and it was very successful.
The winning lineup:
Don Clendenning, Mark Rattray, Rich (Sexton?), Julian Murray, Jez Fletcher, Brian Warren, Hal Huff, Steve Sexton, Sean Fowler, Sean Nejat, Sean Rice, Ian Richardson, John DeSantis and Kieron Hoare.

The game started out with FBSFC pressing and eventually John DeSantis scored on a shot from close range. FBSFC strung together passes well and took a 2-0 lead on a goal by Sean Rice (yes, Sean Rice). Near the end of the first half Hal Huff and Sean Fowler (yes, Sean Fowler) showed up hung over and ready to play - Oul Triangle promptly made it 2-1. John DeSantis popped in his second of the game to give FBSFC a 3-1 lead at half time.
In the second half Oul Triangle came out strong and made it 3-2. They nearly tied it before Mark Rattray saved the day with a goal line clearance. The tame affair turned ugly as Julian Murray clashed heads with an Oul Triangle player resulting in lots of blood and a few stitches. The game went on and John DeSantis completed his hat trick with a goal to put it away for FBSFC. Victory at last. VIVA FBSFC!
FBSFC then went on to have a few pints at the pub to celebrate.....(surprise)

Observations:
-Jez Fletcher ("Jez's ball!") played well in midfield.
-Sean Fowler looked and played like a member of this years Celtic team.
-Brian Warren will be sore today.
-Sean Rice's goal was his first in 15 years.
-Julian Murray was solid in defense and showed that you will bleed if you come down the left side!
FBSFC will put their new WINNING streak to the test when they have a rematch with the Oul Triangle in a few weeks time. Details to come!!
