In 2001 the Dawgs won the last five games to finish with a record of 6-4. The Bulldogs posted over 3,490 yards offense and recorded over 100 tackles for loss.
Garfield graduates 17 seniors including All-Ohio running-back#2 Regis Edgerson and All-District players: Running-back/Linebacker #20 Cory Mathews, Reciever #88 Steve Shamblein and Offensive Tackle #69 Steve Lipinski.On defense the Bulldogs will miss team leaders Vince Justine, Brian Paladino, Luke Stachowicz, Chuck Glazer and Ed Demastus. The Bulldogs will return Quarterback Dominic Plavny and an experienced offensive line.

The 1999 Bulldog Football Team finished with a 6-4 record. They captured a share of the Erie Division championship with a victory over Maple Hts. in the final game. The Dawgs graduate 18 seniors
including three year starters: Kevin Glinski, Eric Howell, Paul Marinin, and James Taylor.
