seniors01.jpg - 19936 Bytes In 2001 the Dawgs won the last five games to finish with a record of 6-4. The Bulldogs posted over 3,490 yards offense and recorded over 100 tackles for loss. Garfield graduates 17 seniors including All-Ohio running-back#2 Regis Edgerson and All-District players: Running-back/Linebacker #20 Cory Mathews, Reciever #88 Steve Shamblein and Offensive Tackle #69 Steve Lipinski.On defense the Bulldogs will miss team leaders Vince Justine, Brian Paladino, Luke Stachowicz, Chuck Glazer and Ed Demastus. The 2000 Dawgs were the first Garfield Football Team to advance to the O.H.S.A.A. State Playoffs. dawghelmet.jpg - 19327 BytesThe 1999 Bulldog Football Team finished with a 6-4 record. They captured a share of the Erie Division championship with a victory over Maple Hts. in the final game. The Dawgs graduate 18 seniors including three year starters: Kevin Glinski, Eric Howell, Paul Marinin, and James Taylor. James was the Lake Erie League Player of the Year, 1st Team All-Ohio, Member of the North-South Team, and the Big 33 All Star Classic Team.
