Mike - A great tribute to your grandfather. I was quite surprised to see a photo of the B-24 "The Bitch's Sister" I too have a photo of the same aircraft with what I think is the crew and support personnel (including my father). I would be happy to forward to you if you would send me your email address. (The one off your website won't open for me)

Michael, I'm positively stunned! In this website you have not only honored your grandfather, you have written one of the most impressive tributes I've ever seen, to ALL those who have ever served this country. Oh, yes - your grandfather would be proud o you, I'm proud to have been given the honor of viewing your site and knowing your grandfather and you. My father was a Marine on Guadalcanal, I served 22 years in the USAF. We both thank you for what you have done. Well done indeed!!

Beautiful, Michael. I'm very proud of you. Your grandfather was a wonderful man and we're all better people for having known him. He is truly missed.

I found your sight while looking up the B-24 "Tough Titti". My father's crew went on several missions on that plane. Due to concerns of repeated problems with the plane, his captain was able to get a different one "The Joker". When Tough Titti went o t on it's next mission with a different crew, it never returned. This one plane has touched many lives in different ways. Thanks for sharing your grandfather's story. Louise

Your Grandfather, an American Hero is very proud of his grandson. I'm a Navy Vet from WW2 and every American's life was interrupted by the war. Everyone, sons, daughters, fathers and mothers changed their lives to "pitch in" and preserve our beloved country. We did save the world. Everyone of us. And it's wonderful to know there are young people like you who apprec ate us, who came before. Thank you.

A beautiful tribute! I heartily agree that WWII vets put their memories down either on paper, tape or a hard drive. My father told the most interesting stories of his youth and early life. I always intended to tape record them, BUT NEVER DID, they are lost forever now. About 5 years ago I started a file called "Oldfart.DOC". and am still working on it so my heirs will have some history. I go to reunions of the 13th Attack Sq., and this stirs up memories. If any of your guests know about the 1328th AAF Base Unit,CBI, please contact me. Reed Tibbetts

I know of these unsung heroes and the selfless job that they did, you see, my dad is one of them. He has always spoken of his wartime exploits and to him it was a job that had to be done. I have had the benefit of listening to his stories and I also recommend that if you know a vet from WWII, listen if he wants to talk about it. In that way you honor them and keep it alive. Lest we forget ...

You have presented a very nice tribute to you Grandfather. I was in the 90th bomb group as a radio operator. I volenteered into the cadet progrm and washed out on onability to take * words of code. I was shipped to radio school. Naturally because I had demonstrated an inability to take code. In two weeks i was aking 16 words and progressed to 28 words before I left radio school. I joined a bomber crew of H.G. Delfatti. after training at march field CA. we were shiped to the pacific. After flying eighteen missions we were shot down over Canton, China and walked out. It was quie an adventure. I have written several experiences for a writing class. I could send them as adventures during the war if there is interest.

Hi Michael, Enjoyed your web site very much; it is an excellent tribute to your grandfather. As one of his contemporaries, I would be very proud if my grandson did as well. Of course, he is only nine years old. Fortunately, I was able to do my own web site. My very best wishes, Bob

Nice tribute to your grandfather. He would be proud. My uncle was a bombardier in the 8th AF,93rd BG. He was on the low level mission to Ploesti Romania. He and two of his crew were KIA on 12-22-43 on a mission to Osnabruck Germany. I have the med ls of my uncle, but am not certain of the one you show with "World War ll" You should be able to find out on the web some p lace. Good luck. Kent J.
