The Quaffers began in a little room at 5th and Main in Kansas City, MO. The team was the brainchild of Joe "Steinbrenner" Quaff. Joe Quaff desired to create the best softball team ever.
The first year was a disaster. The club lost every game. The second year was a complete turn around, winning every game including the championship.
The next year the club office was moved to 601 Main, Kansas City, MO. The club also started playing their games at City Park in Kansas City, KS. 10 championships followed.
The year was 1946 when the club offices moved into the Quaffers World Headquarters at 1010 Broadway, Kansas City, MO.
In 1997, the team started playing in their gleaming new stadium. No expense was spared by Joe Quaff in building Quaff Stadium. Every modern amenity was included. The stadium holds 156,725 with 300 luxury boxes. The complex also includes 2 - 10,000 room hotels, 65 restaurants, 40 batting cages, 8 championship golfcourses, 4 go-cart tracks, a 30,000 square foot videoarcade, a 90 lane bowling alley, a 60 screen cimema, and 14 adult entertainment establishments.
The Quaffers search the globe looking for new talent. We have field offices in Agra, India, Cario, Egypt, Crécey-en-Ponthieu, France, Fukiage, Japan, Hohenschwangan, Germany, Leeds, England, Narin, Scotland and Yalta, Ukraine. Through these strategically located offices, we can react to a developing softball situation immediately. Due to the increase of alien talent, we are building our first space station. We feel that this future field office will be the pioneer in extraterrestrial recruitment. We also have 2 training facilities outside of our main complex in Kansas City. They are located in Herzberg, Germany and Skagway, B.C.
With field offices in such varied locations, Joe Quaff purchased 2 corporate jets to make sure our top personnel can be anywhere in the world in a few hours. In order to get to some small islands where our jets cannot land, we have a fleet of boats to get us there.
The Quaffers also have private retreats in Cutler, ME, Gifu, Japan, Guillestre, France, Glen Gesh, Scotland, Starbuck Island, Newport, RI and Sonthofen, Gremany. These retreats are used by our executives and our Player of the Year. Please keep in mind that these retreats, as well as all of our offices and training facilities, are private. In order to arrange a tour of any of these facilities, please call 1-800-QUAFFERS. To ensure a tour on a specific date, please call at least 3 years in advance.
As you can see, we have the largest softball organization in the world. With this in mind, it's easy to understand how we have won a total of 59 regular season, 57 league, and 55 American Softball Association Championships in their 63 year history. We have had 60 MVPs, 54 postseason MVPs, 42 Cy Yound award winners, and 30 Rookie of the Year winners.
