Some words of wisdom for young
aspiring players:
* the basic skills of the game are
essential
* listen and watch carefully
* be yourself
* take one step at a time
* aim high
Good attacking skills need to be worked on to improve: The ultimate aim on attack is to score goals. Netball is a game of equal chance.
* footwork
* strength to be able to take any kind of pass
* use of both sides of the body
This can be achieved by:
* efficient use of court space and passing angles
* using variation of ball and body speed
* team understanding and confidence in each other’s
skills
* executing the best pass for the team, not necessarily
the first available option
* using variation of movement in approach to
opposition
Successful teams maximise use of the 50% possession
given at the centre pass.
