The Burnaby Minor Hockey Association commits itself to the promotion of Fair Play, Sportsmanship and a Non-violent approach to the game of hockey. The Association believes in the potential social contributions a properly coached youth, with improved understanding of fellowship and team play, is able to make to our society.
The Burnaby Minor Hockey Association undertakes to provide Equal Opportunity and Fair Play Time to all its players. The success of our hockey programs is to be determined by the degree of contribution and participation with pride and enthusiasm by all players. To this end, the Association accepts the responsibility for providing fair and proper skill evaluations to determine the appropriate level of team for each player.
The Burnaby Minor Hockey Association undertakes to promote the pursuit of Excellence in athletic endeavours and therefore recognizes the value in providing appopriate training, facilities and environment to better position its players to seek and experience optimum performance
The Burnaby Minor Hockey Association recognizes the social and educational contributions a minor sport makes to the community. It realizes the extent of enormous benefits to the society at large through our sport that offers opportunities for intellectual and physical self-development of its young citizens. It follows therefore that the Association acknowledges the status of minor hockey and promote it as such.
