For the love of the game...

Hi. My name is Linda Dube and I play electric wheelchair hockey. We play every Friday night at Ashley Oaks Public School in London from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. I really enjoy playing because it gives me something to look forward to every week. I can go out with other people with disabilities and have a great time. I have found that I feel a lot better about myself because I have met some really great people who, like me, have limitations but can still have fun and encourage each other. I also enjoy the challenge of playing against another team and other teams outside London.

I was one of the players from Southwestern Ontario to play in the electric wheelchair hockey nationals in Calgary and had an awesome time. We didn't win but it was well worth the trip! I strongly encourage anyone with an electric wheelchair to come and check out the action. You like me will be glad you did.
