There are several very good biographies that are available on the web. We have looked at many and are listing a few good ones here:

IndoLink Analysis

• This is the best biography of Anand that I have found on the web. Balanced, and very well written, it doesn't pull any punches. Keep in mind as you read this article, that this was written in 1995.

TNQ Sponsorship's Vishwanathan Anand Pages

• This page has a nice little biography, with focus on Anand's recent activities. There are also a couple of lines on his future aspirations there. TNQ represents Anand for his endorsement and commercial deals. This same link also serves as the entry point for "official" news relating to Anand.

• This biography repeats what was mentioned the above link. There is a photo, as well as a good listing of Anand's Chess performance history through 1997.

• Could it be that a wife knows her husband the best? Here's a bio with a lot of superlatives, and each of them applicable! This bio was written as part of the Anand vs. Rebel challenge of 1998.

• Dos Hermanas provides a biography. Some kind of a translation program seems to have generated the biography (from Spanish), and it reads funny at times. I've included it here for the sake of completeness.
